i LIKE YOUR COMPUTERS A LOT. bUT i HAVE ONE SMALL SUGGESTION.
nEXT TIME YOU DESIGN THE KEYBOARD – cOULD YOU MAYBE PUT THE caps lock KEY SOMEWHERE FARTHER AWAY? mAYBE AT THE TOP OR SOMETHING? oR NEXT TO SOME LETTER i DON’T USE SO MUCH? mAYBE NEAR THE Q?
bECAUSE WHERE IT IS, i MUST HIT IT AT LEAST 50 TIMES A DAY. aND i CAN’T THINK OF THE LAST TIME i NEEDED CAPS LOCK, CAN YOU?
tHANK YOU FOR YOUR ATTENTION.
sINCERELY,
tbtam
You can disable the key in both Windows and Mac – you can also make it chime so that if you do use it occasionally, you can leave it activated, but it will ding when you hit it inadvertently.
I like Sam’s suggestion. Make it chime and then by day’s end you have a song!

Thanks, Sam – I thought I was stuck with this PROBLEM forever…
I actually found a website called ANTIcapslock.com, and am exploring it for my options.
OK, here’s what I’ve done.
I installed Clipcontrol, a program that lets you disable the capslock key by pressing capslock + enter (You can enable it by pressing the same keys).
You can also use the key now as a way to store things on your clipboard, but that’s all beyond me.
Thank you Anticapslock.com!
Here’s where to get the software –

In the poor CapsLock key’s defense, I use it all the time. I’m not going to sit there and wear out my pinkies holding down shift when I type acronyms – much more efficient to just capslock, type, capslock.
