I was at a park in Dallas, Tx watching a pre-schooler carnival! Beautiful day but our pollen count is sky high so despite three diff prescrip allergy meds I'm going to be coughing and sneezing like crazy for days. The price of spring.
THanks to the sudden hot weather I had to take the kids shopping for summer clothes. THe girl and I were hanging at The Closet Exchange (thirft/consignment shop). Got three pairs of shorts and three tops…all name brands…for $41. Then we grilled burgers and watched "Crazy Heart." Okay – so we weren't outside too much but it was a great day. I mean, have you SEEN Crazy Heart? Jeff Bridges…just gets better with age.
It was raining here too in Portland, Oregon, with a few sunbreaks. Pink trees still up, tulips finished, columbines blooming. I took a nice walk through the neighborhood during the non-rainy times.
It was a full weekend on the fields with my kids. 2 lacrosse games, 3 soccer games, 2 practices and on Saturday night, it was off to Princeton University to see the Men's lacrosse team lose to Cornell 9 to 10! Great 4th quarter!
In the middle, I checked out a possible school for my middle guy. Got home at 10 PM on Saturday exhausted, so I openned a big old red, and sat in front of the fire pit 'til midnight.
Sent my husband flowers for our 22nd anniversary while I was away at meeting-basically working. We talked and will celebrate in delayed fashion. Still in love!
Kansas City, but off to Santa Fe tomorrow for some great food and high mountain air.

Hiking through Muir Woods
I was inside most of the day :(. Though I did see a wonderful musical, Dreamgirls, so it was worth it.
Looks like a lot of people had the same idea there in NY.
Hey, I just heard about them closing down Time Square because of that car. How sad! Glad it turned out ok and no one got hurt.
Hugs,
Joanne

XO, OBS Housekeeper
I was waiting for the rain to stop (I live in Wales, UK) and remembering my father who died on May 1st, eleven years ago.
