Ginger Gold Apple

This is the perfect apple. Juicy, flavorful, light and crisp. Just listen to how it sounds when you bite into it, the juice running down the side of your mouth …

Remember the apple you ate as a kid? What an apple should be?

This is that apple.

  1. Apple season is over here 🙁

We have some really good ones, a cultivar called “Honeycrisp.” YUM!

I have some apples around that I need to use soon; any suggestions for a REALLY easy tart or pie recipe? (I can do pie dough okay at least!)

  2. That is so cool. How did you get that sound? I read today that eating an apple 1 hour before meals cuts your appetite greatly and aids in weight loss. I’m going to try it.

  3. Where did you get that apple? I want it.
I don’t know why, but apples and tomatoes are no longer as good as I remember. Wah.

Got the sound by biting into the apple. That’s all.

Found ours at Fairway ehre in Manhattan. Also had some in September from a farmstand in Pa.

    Thanks!

  5. Actually, that sound just did not work for me. Sounds artificial to my ear.

But now I am ‘jonesing’ for an apple. That can not be a bad thing.

Pleased to make the acquaintance of ‘TBTAM’ … so I will not have to ‘wonder’ about the reference next time. …:minism:…

I wonder if it sounded artificial because it’s been so long since you bit into an amazing apple and heard that sound for real? I had not heard that sound since I was a kid, I swear….

    Thanks for visiting!
