A Blog is Born

My new friend Chris has just started a blog called A View From the Kitchen Window, and it is a joy to read. She is the new Irma Bombeck, and every one of her first three posts had me laughing out loud.

Chris used to have a newpapaper column in Massachusetts, and is clearly a talented writer. If she keeps this up, I predict a book deal within the year. (Well, okay, she still hasn’t gotten the paragraph formatting down in Blogger, but I promised to help her with that very soon…)

In the meantime, head on over there and give her some comments. Every new blogger needs encouragement…

  1. In case you are thinking I have quit reading your blog, no so! For some reason ever since I switched to New Blogger, on some Blogger blogs the comment window won’t open enough for me to actually post a comment. Now (finally!) another blogger has taught me that if right click on “comment” and then choose “open link in new window” that solves it! Just letting you know that I am still faithfully reading, and will check out your friends blog too.

  2. Kalyn: I’ve been having the same problem with comment windowns, I think it is a bug between IE and Blogger, or something that needs a java update in your computer.

In the meantime,I’ve disabled the pop up comments so it should open when you click normally. Thanks for the feedback, I’d been wondering where everyone was…

    And thanks for reading.

  3. Hi tbtam,
I’ve been lurking on your blog for months, just back from leaving a comment on your friend’s blog so decided to pop my head up once, here in your comment section.
I especially enjoyed your posts about HRT, which I took for more than 20 years (I’m 71) and bisphosphonates and Gardasil. I thought they were very sensible posts (sensible is a very flattering comment from me).
    Back to lurking
