Mrs Hughes on the Gyno Office Visit

My eldest daughter in a high school junior, and that means it’s time to start looking at colleges. We’re heading out tomorrow on a road trip through upstate New York and New England. (Just me and the girls – Mr TBTAM has to work.)

Given the ambitous schedule we’ve given ourselves, things may be a bit quiet on the blog for awhile.

In the meantime, here’s a little something to keep you smiling – Mrs Hughes on menopause and the gynecologist’s office.

(Thanks to sis Ronnie for pointing me to this video.)

  1. Enjoy this time of your life. We have just completed it…last child has selected and been accepted to her college of choice in Virginia so both my kids have gone back to the place they were born! Guess the tri-state area loses to VA.

Enjoy your road trip. I enjoyed visiting many of the colleges we went to.

  2. Good luck…my son is a sophmore and we are already looking for schools, too! Lots and lots of mixed emotions on this as a parent, huh?

  3. When I ask my first year students why they chose our school, I’m always overwhelmed by responses about the lovely scenery (it is, but…) and the attractive tour guide when they visited. Keep an eye out for lovely scenery and attractive tour guides!

Also, brand new recreation facilities are big, big, BIG in college sales, as are new dorms. Library books? Not so much.

Hope you have a great trip and find some places your daughter will love!

  4. Sounds like you’ll be busy but fun too. 🙂

Do you feel extra sentimental with the last one leaving the nest or are you too busy to feel those pangs? Ha! I was sentimental when I took the cribs down, when they went to preschool, school and every milestone since. When oldest son left, I got a German shepherd puppy. 🙂

HILARIOUS video. Never heard of Mrs. Hughes but she’s great. I hope it is alright that I put this clip on my site but I will link to your blog.

  5. Julie -I have no idea – I found it on you tube! She’s funny though, isn’t she?
